Land reporting suite

Land answers assembled by hand from multiple systems.

Problem

Land answers assembled by hand from multiple systems.

Approach

Developed a land-management reporting suite on Snowflake for an energy data platform: Division of Interest, task usage and workload, acreage, wells, and data quality reporting, delivered through Tableau. Land data is the most legally sensitive dataset an operator holds - ownership interests, obligations, acreage positions - so every report had to reconcile precisely with source. The suite gave land teams governed answers to questions previously assembled by hand from multiple systems.

Architecture

Why land reporting is unforgiving

A production report that's slightly off annoys an engineer. A Division of Interest report that's slightly off pays the wrong owner. Land reporting demands source-reconciled precision, and that discipline - tie every figure to its system of record - is what this suite was built around.
